can't help myself!

we are going to the beach at the beginning of june and i just thought these would be so cute... i don't know why i have a compulsion to match my children.... but i do! these are almost ridiculously preppy- seersucker and sail boats... but seriously what could be cuter on children at the beach in the summer...? i am loving the wood grain pattern on the fabric i used for the boats.
these are two of the pillows i made for our sofas while the boys were away. the birds make me so happy! and i even sewed them w/ velcro hidden on one side they could be taken off for cleaning-- very necessary w/ kids... i have already been thankful for the cleanability of our leather sofas(elisha got a stomach virus a few weeks ago :-(

I love the outfits. You are so good. I'm dying to buy matching outfits for my kids too but I won't know if I'm matching girls or a girl and a boy until tomorrow. I think children that match are precious and I told Shay to get used to the idea because i will be doing it for as long as I can get away with it. Good luck with Anna....she will be here soon.

I saw the bird pillows on Thursday at CG and thought they turned out great! What a great idea about the velcro. I might have to steal that when I make my throw pillow for the couch.

Jane, I looooove your bird pillows! Where did you get such a lovely fabric? You will have to teach me how to shop for such pretty home things once Burton and I have someplace worth decorating. :)
Best wishes to you all and little Anna on the way!

Jane- I just found your blog and found out that you're naming your little girl Anna. Well, our little girl is named Anna and will be almost exactly 1 year older than yours. Can I please send you some monogrammed things- would you use them? I'll just have to send them through Andrew's mom and my mom. If you'll use them, then I'll keep sending them season after season. Let me know- Abby Sellers Carmichael

I'm Amanda Douglas,Courtney's, and Sarah's friend from Prattville.

Well- I don't have a ton with Anna- I have more with initials after looking through her stuff. I'll send you what I have though and you're welcome to whatever. Don't feel like you have to give them back- you don't. I'm just glad they get another wear/use out of them. If you don't like them- just give them away to whoever. I do have a cute dress she's wearing now with Anna though- great for next year. My Anna was born on April 16- so hopefully some stuff will work.
